SCIENTIA TERRAS IRRADIAMUS

(Apparently due to a scrivener's error, this is sometimes
written SCIENTIA TERRAS IRRADUMUS.)
Motto:
"There is no limit to the good a man can do, if he
doesn't care who gets the credit." Adopted 1930.
In recent high school documents, this has been written: "There is no limit to what a good man can do, if he doesn't care who gets the credit." Adopted 1930.
Nickname:
Hackensack High School "Comets" were the "Colts" until 1912. The inspiration for the change was the appearance of Halley's Comet which was important news at that time.
