Williamston
Addie Lou Guyton O'Reilly, 86, of 213 Pelzer Avenue, widow of Hugh Campbell O'Reilly, died Monday, April 2, 2001 at her home.

Born in Williamston on May 18, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Clarence Lee and Addie Duckworth Guyton and was a descendant of the eldest brother of West Allen Williams, founder of Williamston. She received her bachelor's degree from Winthrop University and her master's degree from Columbia University. She taught English in high schools in South Carolina and was school librarian in New Jersey. She was a member of Beta Phi Mu and Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Education Society, was a member and officer of New York City Daughters of the American Revolution and United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a lifelong member of Williamston First Baptist Church where she organized the church library, was a Sunday School teacher and served in various offices.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are two nieces, Frances Hadden and JoAnn Davison; one nephew, Joe Curtis Tribble Guyton Jr.; three great nieces, Ann Davison Farra, Blair Davison Pfister and Pamela Guyton; one great nephew, Joe Curtis Tribble Guyton III; two Lou Welborn and Claire Chreitzberg; and sister-in-law, Mrs. Clarence Lee Guyton Jr. of Columbia.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Williamston Cemetery by the Rev. Brad Barden where the family will receive friends immediately following the service.
